In 2019, Donaldson Law were retained by the Queensland Law Society to design, develop and produce a training resource addressing workplace sexual harassment. We are incredibly proud and excited to share this teaser clip.

Attendees of this training will watch along as (characters) Felicity and Joel interact on Felicity’s first day of work, they will witness and be challenged to call out behaviors and failures from the top down, leaving viewers with an insightful recount of how sexual harassment affected both Felicity and Joel personally, as well as learning about the financial bearing it had on the workplace.

With sexual harassment affecting 1 in 2 women, and 1 in 4 men, this resource was strategically designed to start an overdue conversation, it pulls no punches and is confronting, with 14 years’ experience delivering preventative education, it is the approach Adair firmly believes is required to make viewers pay attention and do their part to reduce these alarming statistics. Adair has delivered this training to a diverse range of audiences to date, the feedback coming through is overwhelming, he is yet to leave a presentation without someone commenting how ‘everyone knows a Joel’.

We owe a great deal of thanks to everyone who came together to make this resource possible:

• To acclaimed actor Andy Ryan, thank you for not only playing Joel, but for co-producing and securing the talent of Melina Vidler, Ell Formean and Barb Lowing who also played lead rolls.

• To Brendan Busby and the team at Busby Productions, thank you for the incredible production and editing work, your team are first class.

• To all of our Donaldson Law staff members and friends who featured in the powerful closing scene, thank you for recounting the true stories of our colleagues who submitted their raw personal accounts of workplace sexual harassment to us. Thank you also to Mark Illidge and the other staff members from the Queensland Law Society who featured in the resource.

• To Sandra Pepper and Rebecca Neibler from the Queensland Law Society, thank you for working alongside us on this project.
